Width & Fit Guide
Standard & 2E
Width is measured straight across the ball of the foot, not around it. Wide (2E) runs about 3 mm wider than standard at the same length. Extra Wide (4E) adds further width and volume through the forefoot in select styles — if standard is only just too tight, start with 2E before moving to 4E.
| US Size | Standard | Wide (2E) |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | 10.1 cm | 10.4 cm |
| 6.5 | 10.2 cm | 10.5 cm |
| 7 | 10.3 cm | 10.6 cm |
| 7.5 | 10.4 cm | 10.7 cm |
| 8 | 10.5 cm | 10.8 cm |
| 8.5 | 10.6 cm | 10.9 cm |
| 9 | 10.7 cm | 11.0 cm |
| 9.5 | 10.8 cm | 11.1 cm |
| 10 | 10.9 cm | 11.3 cm |
| 10.5 | 11.0 cm | 11.4 cm |
| 11 | 11.1 cm | 11.5 cm |
| 11.5 | 11.3 cm | 11.6 cm |
| 12 | 11.4 cm | 11.7 cm |
| 12.5 | 11.5 cm | 11.8 cm |
| 13 | 11.6 cm | 11.9 cm |
| 13.5 | 11.7 cm | 12.0 cm |
| 14 | 11.8 cm | 12.1 cm |
| 14.5 | 11.9 cm | 12.2 cm |
| 15 | 12.0 cm | 12.3 cm |
| 15.5 | 12.1 cm | 12.4 cm |
| 16 | 12.2 cm | 12.5 cm |
- Widths apply to both women’s and men’s US sizes
- High arches and high insteps fit best in 4E
Big Kids
3.5Y – 7Y
Built for ages 8 to 12, big kids’ sizes step up half a size at a time from a 22 cm foot. Measure both feet and use the longer one — children’s feet rarely match exactly.
| US Kids | UK | EU | Foot Length | Inches |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3.5Y | 2.5 | 35 | 22 cm | 8 12/16 |
| 4Y | 3 | 36 | 22.5 cm | 8 13/16 |
| 4.5Y | 3.5 | 36.5 | 22.9 cm | 8 15/16 |
| 5Y | 4 | 37 | 23.2 cm | 9 2/16 |
| 5.5Y | 4.5 | 38 | 23.5 cm | 9 4/16 |
| 6Y | 5 | 38.5 | 24 cm | 9 6/16 |
| 6.5Y | 5.5 | 39 | 24.5 cm | 9 9/16 |
| 7Y | 6 | 40 | 25 cm | 9 11/16 |
- Ages 8–12 years, approximate
- Leave 8–10 mm of growing room
Little Kids
7C – 3Y
Sizes 7C to 3Y cover roughly ages 4 to 8. Little kids’ styles keep a fixed insole, so check the foot length rather than guessing from age or from the previous pair.
| US Kids | UK | EU | Foot Length | Inches |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7C | 6 | 23.5 | 14 cm | 5 1/2 |
| 8C | 7 | 25 | 14.5 cm | 5 3/4 |
| 9C | 8 | 26 | 15.5 cm | 6 1/8 |
| 10C | 9 | 27 | 16.5 cm | 6 9/16 |
| 10.5C | 9.5 | 27.5 | 17 cm | 6 12/16 |
| 11C | 10 | 28 | 17.5 cm | 6 15/16 |
| 11.5C | 10.5 | 29 | 18 cm | 7 1/8 |
| 12C | 11 | 30 | 18.5 cm | 7 4/16 |
| 12.5C | 11.5 | 30.5 | 18.75 cm | 7 6/16 |
| 13C | 12 | 31 | 19 cm | 7 9/16 |
| 13.5C | 12.5 | 31.5 | 19.5 cm | 7 12/16 |
| 1Y | 13 | 32 | 20 cm | 7 15/16 |
| 1.5Y | 13.5 | 32.5 | 20.5 cm | 8 1/8 |
| 2Y | 1 | 33 | 21 cm | 8 4/16 |
| 2.5Y | 1.5 | 33.5 | 21.75 cm | 8 6/16 |
| 3Y | 2 | 34 | 22 cm | 8 9/16 |
- Insole is fixed in little kids’ styles

Socks
Medium & Large
Socks are sized by the shoe size you wear, not by foot length. Only two sizes are made, so the ranges overlap at women’s 10 and men’s 8 — choose Medium for a closer fit, Large for a roomier one.
| Sock Size | Kids | Women | Men |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medium | 5Y – 7Y | 6 – 10 | 6 – 8 |
| Large | — | 10 – 13 | 8 – 12 |
- Ranges refer to US shoe size
- No sock sizing for US men above 12
How to Measure Your Foot
4 steps
Measure late in the day, when feet are at their largest, and wear the socks you plan to pair with the shoes. Two minutes with a sheet of paper is more reliable than any size you remember from another brand.
-
Trace the outline
Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall. Keep your weight on the foot and trace around it, holding the pen upright.
-
Measure the length
Measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe. Repeat with the other foot and keep the larger number.
-
Measure the width
Measure straight across the widest part of the forefoot, at the ball of the foot, from the inner edge to the outer edge.
-
Match to the chart
Compare the length in centimetres with the tables above. If the measurement lands between two sizes, take the larger one.
Getting the Fit Right
Before you order
A few rules of thumb that resolve most exchanges before they happen.
-
Between two sizes? Go up
The hands-free heel cage works best with a little clearance at the toe. Half a size up still holds the foot securely.
-
Wide feet start at 2E
If standard widths usually pinch across the ball, begin with Wide (2E). High arches and high insteps do better in 4E.
-
Measure in the afternoon
Feet swell through the day. A morning measurement can read up to half a size short of your evening size.
-
Knit gives, leather holds
Knit uppers relax slightly with wear. Structured leather and waterproof styles keep their shape, so size those true.
-
Socks change the fit
Thin no-show socks sit closer than cushioned crew socks. Measure with the pair you will actually wear.
-
Kids grow fast
Leave 8 to 10 mm of room at the toe. That is roughly a thumb’s width between the longest toe and the front of the shoe.
Note: Measurements are taken from the foot, not the shoe, and are rounded to the nearest millimetre. Half sizes are available in most adult styles; kids’ styles are offered in whole and half sizes as listed.
